We are Próxima Geração partners, the first non-partisan academy in Portugal.

This academy is a dynamic program with practical learning formats, designed to reinforce the role of young Portuguese people of different origins and ideologies, as actors in democracy. In its 3rd edition, this program features team exercises and conversations between current and future leaders of Portuguese and European politics.

Christmas festivities at the novobanco Group begin with the usual selection of a solidarity action by employees. The action chosen was Acreditar (Institution Acreditar =Believe) and the expansion of its house in Lisbon from 12 to 32 rooms. Donations from employees and the Bank made it possible to purchase more material for the house than initially expected.

This year and for the first time the Christmas campaign had an external aspect, the bank's followers on social media were able to contribute through their reactions. Per For each like, the bank gives me €1.

As patrons of the Salvador Association, we have been associated with this project since its first year. Over 15 years this initiative has supported 587 people with reduced mobility with more than €1.7 million in aid.

In 2022, we collected a total of approximately 130,000 euros to be invested in three categories - home improvements, training and employment and adapted sports equipment. In this way, we have been able to support 36 people with reduced mobility, 13 of whom are in the training and employment category, who we have been supporting since 2021.

The earthquakes in Turkey and Syria left millions of people homeless and displaced, as well as causing thousands of injured. This is an event to which we could not remain indifferent, so we made a donation of €100 M to AMI, CARE, UNICEF and the Red Cross.

The choice of these organisations was based on an assessment of the programmes on the ground and the national and international recognition of these institutions, ensuring that our support reaches the people in both Turkey and Syria promptly.

The earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya have left millions of people homeless and displaced, as well as causing an ever-increasing number of victims. These are events to which we could not remain indifferent, so we made a donation of 50,000 euros to the UNICEF Emergency Fund and the Red Cross' "Morocco Needs You" campaign.

The choice of these organisations was based on an evaluation of the programmes on the ground and the national and international recognition of these institutions, ensuring that our support reaches the population promptly.

We believe that funding one of the rooms in the Acreditar de Lisboa house will improve the quality of life of children and their families when they have to leave their homes for cancer treatment in Lisbon. It is an important gesture that provides better conditions during this delicate period of the child's treatment.

We were at the charity match in Madeira and supported former players and public figures in a game in which everyone was a winner, regardless of the final result. Proceeds from the box office were donated to the Portuguese Cancer League - Madeira Regional Centre.

As a founding member, we supported the development of the www.wehelpukraine.org platform which combines efforts from all over the world. We encourage connections between those who need help and those who can help Ukrainian refugees, whether in Portugal or around the world. With this partnership, we have contributed proactively and in various ways to welcoming the Ukrainian people to Portugal, including opening bank accounts, donations and volunteering.

We supported CARE International during the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, with immediate emergency assistance in that country and in border countries, helping around 4 million people fleeing the conflict.
