The ESG performance of novobanco, as well as the quality and transparency of its sustainability and non-financial disclosures and reports, is subject to assessment by all stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, regulators, and rating agencies, among others.
Among these assessments are ESG ratings, which are a valuable tool for novobanco, not only as performance indicators in sustainability and social responsibility compared to the market and peers, but also as promoters of increasingly greater transparency in disclosures and facilitators for improving risk management and attracting investments.
MSCI ESG Ratings
novobanco has been rated by MSCI with an ESG Rating of AA.
The MSCI ESG rating aims to assess a company's management of financially relevant ESG risks and opportunities. It uses a methodology based on strict criteria that identify industry leaders and laggards according to their exposure to ESG risks and how they manage and respond to the challenges of these risks in relation to their peers.
